The super easy and quick nutritious meal or chicken meatballs with gravy and veggies over egg noodles

Literally this is my “I don’t feel like cooking tonight meal “,that my husband likes and that’s kid friendly. Buy really good chicken meatballs and pour them into a pot with a jar of chicken gravy and a can of mixed veggies and cook on low heat for about 15 mins or until heated through serve over a scoop of egg noodles one pot probably under $20 for the whole meal so it’s delicious easy and quick and budget friendly

Happy Holidays! It’s the time of year where we seek comfort in tradition. Including when we eat. busy day today, we had to go out for breakfast and run a few errands. Finally afternoon settled upon us and I’m faced with the eternally annoying question of what to do for dinner? Well up here in New England it’s cold, the kids are playing pond hockey already. So I need something quick and easy bc after weeks of preparation for Christmas. I’m tired and don’t really feel like doing anything. so yesterday I shopped some ingredients for soups I was planning to make over Holiday break. I have everything on hand I chopped some onion and celery and let that cook in a frying pan until softened then I scooped them into a stock pot with chicken broth/stock to which, I added some white meat chicken I like Tyson’s fully cooked grilled chicken strips from my freezer (you can find it at Walmart) and it’s very convenient when your recipe calls for chicken and you want simple I just warm the strips ...

Real food, really easy

I grew up in a middle class household in the suburbs of Boston. Both my parents worked full time all week long. However my mother came home from work every day and cooked a homemade meal. We ate leftovers twice a week. A fresh meal not something from a box or can but real ingredients mixed together to create a good delicious meal. It’s my hope to encourage people to cook more and subsequently become healthier for it. I learned to cook from watching my mother and grandmother cook but for some people they don’t have that luxury, either because they don’t have anyone to teach them or because they don’t know where to start

Beef barley soup

First start with beef broth in a stock pot cut petite sirloin into bite sized pieces brown meat in a frying pan with 1/4c or 1 pat of butter and diced onion and diced celery cook until tender add all to stock pot with beef broth and add a can of diced potatoes add 2 cubes of beef bullion and simmer for about an hour or until ready this meal takes about an hour to prepare so it’s great for weeknights and weekend meals or makes a great Sunday dinner for the family just add more ingredients. You want to simmer as long as possible to reduce the broth and enhance the flavors serve with crusty bread
